DRC-Ituri: Fataki falls into the hands of CODECO militiamen

The Fataki shopping center (80 km from Bunia) in Ituri fell into the hands of the CODECO militia on Sunday, security sources indicate.

The locality of Fataki had already been the object of a first murderous attack on Saturday by this armed group which attacked loyalist FARDC troops, killing and injuring many on both sides.

This Sunday, a new bloody attacks by the same assailants, allowed the control of the city by the militiamen, after a stall of the elements of the FARDC, indicate the same sources.
