Final tributes to Congolese event planner and entrepreneur Albert Mavungu will be held from Friday, April 17th to Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at the People’s Palace Tent in Lingwala.
The funeral program, published on social media, indicates that a wake, viewing of the body, and burial at the Entre Ciel et Terre Necropolis will take place. An iconic figure in Kinshasa’s nightlife, hence his nickname “King of the Nights,” Albert Mavungu, founder of the PARTNERS PRIVILEGES CONSULTING label and the lounge bars BLACK and WHITE, KWILU BAR, and EL AFRICANO, was also active in the tourism, hospitality, and restaurant sectors.
He served on the jury of the MISS VODACOM pageant, was an MC, and created and popularized the SALSA KARAOKE and AFTER WORK concepts. The BANA KIN clubs and the FOGOMO Foundation pay tribute to his memory.
