To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Papa Wemba’s passing, the Nuit de la Sape event on April 18, 2026, at the Pullman GHK will feature singer Reddy Amisi Bailo Canto. A pillar of the group Viva la Musica, who even accompanied Papa Wemba on stage in 1987, and an heir to the Sapologie Religion Kitendi, he will perform in the colors of the JM Weston shoe brand.
This symbolic gesture will set the tone for a celebration of culture and elegance, true to Papa Wemba’s spirit. It is one of the highlights of the QUE VIVA PAPA WEMBA Festival, organized by the Provincial Minister of Culture, Bob Amisso. The program includes a competition, a fashion show featuring sapeurs, three-piece suits, cuts, colors, accessories, hairstyles, perfumes… .
