The Air Quality Index (AQI) had reached 165, classifying the city as “unhealthy.” At this level, health effects can be experienced by everyone, and sensitive individuals may experience more serious effects.


This level of pollution makes Kinshasa one of the most affected cities in Central Africa at present. Residents are advised to take protective measures, such as avoiding outdoor physical activity and regularly monitoring air quality.
